prayers, mantras, devotional chanting

Prayers, mantras, blessings and spiritual songs are listed below.

Daily prayer and chanting strengthens our relationship with the divine manifestations (such as Krishna, Maha Lakshmi, Jesus, the Divine Mother, Buddha, etc.) or to the Divine without form (such as Hashem, Adonai and Allah). This is very important for our spiritual growth.

If you like, find at least 30 seconds a day to close your eyes, sing or whisper a prayer or your gratitude to the Divine: connect with a manifestation or with the Divine without form, with a holy person or with the Universe, with nature, with Grandmother Earth, with an energy source (such as fire or light).  When you have difficulties, simply connect with yourself, with your heart.

Peace, peace, peace, amen.

Jewish spiritual chanting (Psalm 127)

Im HaShem lo yivneh vayis
shav amlu vonav bo
Im HaShem lo yishmar ir
shav shakad shomer
Hineh lo yanum

Shomer Yisra'el

If the Lord does not build, the builders build in vain.
If the Lord does not keep watch, the watchmen watch in vain.
The Lord neither slumbers nor sleeps,
the watchman of Israel.

Christian prayer

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
On earth as in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our sins
as we also forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom and the power
and glory, forever and ever.

Amen.

Islamic prayer

Bismillahir-rahmanir-rahim Al-hamdu lillahi rabbi-l-'alamin Ar-rahmani-rahim Malilci jaumid-din Ijjaka na'budu wa ijjaka nasta'in ihdina-siratal-mustaqim sirata-ladsina an'amta 'alaihim ghairi-l- maghdubi 'alaihim wa lad-daallin Amin

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, the Lord of the Day of Judgement. You alone we worship and You alone we seek help. Guide us to the right path. Path, the path of those upon whom You have mercy, not of those with whom You are angry, nor of those who go astray. Amen

Neo-pagan blessing (Beltane)

Lucky stars above you,
Sunshine on your way,
Many friends who love you,
Joy at work and at play.

A laugh that outweighs every worry
In your heart a song,
And happiness that is everywhere
Waiting your whole life.

May you always have walls for the wind,
A roof for the rain, tea by the fire,
A laugh that cheers you up and people,

Those you love, near you,
And everything your heart desires.

May you from this day forward
Experience nothing but happiness.
